Elizabeth Smith has several internationally recognised qualifications in horticulture and specialises in:
- Plant care.
- Garden planning and design.
- Green space and landscape management.
- Disease identification and control.
Elizabeth started her career at a local garden centre before studying for her qualifications at the prestigious Merrist Wood College in Guildford, Surrey.
After several years she moved to the Chilterns and took up a role as the head of fruit and vegetables at a large family estate before progressing to the head position. The role was varied but involved growing, maintaining and harvesting organic food for the main house, large events the owners organised and for organic and local shops.
Elizabeth has since worked full-time at RHS Wisley and is currently travelling in Asia.
Her plans for the future include studying for a degree upon her return.
